RS-6 Spy Radio (Receiver, Transmitter, Power Supply, 1950s) used by CIA, SAC. Untested, operating condition unknown, used condition as is. The cryptomuseum site has more information about this American spy radio. Developed in 1951 by the CIA, this RS-6 has the receiver, transmitter, power supply and power filter unit. The transmitter covers 3 to 16 MHz over 2 ranges and uses vacuum tubes to obtain a 10 watt power output (max).

The RS-6 was not only used by the CIA, but was also used by the Strategic Air Command (SAC), for clandestine work and for Stay-Behind operations. The receiver and transmitter have the same number (2220) on them; this number is lower than most of the pictures Ive seen on the web. This is a nice compact spy set for any collection.
