The RS-6 radio set was developed for the CIA in the early 1950 time period. It was designed as a 4 unit radio transmitter and receiver set. The set included a crystal controlled transmitter with fold out key, tuned receiver, power supply, and a filter unit that is not part of this offer. It was built in such a way that the national origin would be hard to determine by an enemy. The antenna tuner in the transmitter could load up a a random wire and was very effective allowing any conductor to be used as an antenna.
The power supply would work on many different AC line sources including European 50 Hz and also 60 Hz. In addition the power supply will work on a number of DC voltages. When issued by the CIA, the radio came in a wooden box with all four sub units contained in the box. This radio covered a portion of the HF band. There are a couple of good references to this set on line, so I will not be repetitive here. I will pay any difference.
