Tracker Maxima Radio Telemetry Receiver And 3 Collar Transmitters Used

  

The Tracker MAXIMA is a synthesized radio location receiver. The system is used to track bird dogs or hound dogs and works by the collar sending a signal to the receiver (handler) which causes the receiver to beep slowly when the dog is moving and a quickening beeping to let you know the dog is on point or not moving and also which direction the dog is located. The gain dial helps determine the distance from the dog to the receiver. This is not a GPS system.

The receiver is housed in a metal casing coated with epoxy powder which has been heat-bonded. The four folding antennas alongside the receiver are lightweight but extremely durable. The 2 nine volt batteries are located on the back, bottom of the receiver secured with a hand tightened knob/screw. There are 3 collars all in good working condition.

Some of the antennas have some of the plastic coating worn off but it does not effect the operation of the collars or inhibit the receivers ability to receive their signal. The collars are each 20 inches long. The collars are operated by a single, size 123 battery.

The Tracker MAXIMA's current frequency is set to 220 coinciding with the collars. The three collars are set to (1) 220.000, (2) 220.025 and (3) 220.050. The system is capable of a capacity from 1000 to 10,000 channels and from 25 to 100 programmable memory locations for frequencies according to the users guide.

Other features include: Synthesized receiver with programmable EEPROM memory, manual or automatic gain mode, custom designed backlit LCD screen, microprocessor controlled functions, automatic shutoff to save batteries on receiver, receiver runs on two 9 volt batteries and a speaker located at the bottom of receiver.
