Army Signal Corps equipment chest was manufactured by RCA Manufacturing Co. For the SCR-288 Radio Receiver & Transmitter system. Finished in the original olive drab paint, the chest features heavy-gauge steel construction, dual carry handles, secure latches, an interior divider, and original identification and frequency reference plates. A desirable authentic military storage chest suitable for restoration, display, or completing an SCR-288 radio set. Good vintage condition with expected military surplus wear.

The original olive drab finish shows scratches, paint loss, scuffs, edge wear, oxidation, and surface rust on portions of the hardware. Interior remains solid with the original divider, gasket, and identification plates present. Latches and handles are intact. No major structural damage observed. Please review all photos for overall condition. Original markings identify the chest as being manufactured for the U. Army Signal Corps SCR-288 Radio Receiver & Transmitter by RCA Manufacturing Co. The interior retains the original patent label and frequency reference chart.

This listing is for the empty storage chest only; no radio components or accessories are included.
